A compatibility chart is a third symbolic matrix made by combining matching positions from two personal charts. It is not an average personality and it does not produce a valid success percentage.

Personal charts first, composite second
Calculate each person's A, B, C, D, and E values with the same 1-22 method used for an individual chart. The composite is formed by adding A to A, B to B, and so on, reducing each total. This preserves position. Adding unlike positions would create a number, but not the composite method Destinyly publishes.
The resulting matrix belongs to the relationship as an interpretive object. It describes questions that become relevant in the space between two people. Each personal chart remains intact, and neither person is reduced to the composite.
For each birth date, A is the reduced day, B the reduced month, and C the reduced digit sum of the year. D is reduce(A + B + C). E is reduce(A + B + C + D). Check the date format before continuing; 08/11 and 11/08 are different dates.
Do not combine raw dates first. A composite built from a single sum of two dates loses the position structure. Calculate both complete personal matrices, record A-E in a table, and only then begin the pairwise additions.
The five formulas are: composite A = reduce(A1 + A2); composite B = reduce(B1 + B2); composite C = reduce(C1 + C2); composite D = reduce(D1 + D2); composite E = reduce(E1 + E2).
Reduction is applied after each pairwise addition. It is not modulo 22. If a total is 22, keep 22. If it is 29, add 2 + 9 to obtain 11. If a later total remains above 22, repeat the decimal digit sum until the value is within 1-22.
Destinyly derives Love as reduce(composite D + composite E), Money as reduce(composite C + composite E), Karmic as reduce(composite A + composite C), and Ancestral as reduce(composite A + composite B + composite D). Communication is reduce(composite A + composite B).
Relationship Purpose is reduce(composite B + composite D + composite E). These are secondary values. A calculator that uses a different channel formula may display different results even when its five composite anchors match.
The first date produces A5, B8, C9, D22, E8. The second produces A17, B8, C22, D11, E13. Add matching positions: A is reduce(5 + 17) = 22; B is reduce(8 + 8) = 16; C is reduce(9 + 22) = reduce(31) = 4; D is reduce(22 + 11) = reduce(33) = 6; E is reduce(8 + 13) = 21.
The composite is A22, B16, C4, D6, E21. Love is reduce(6 + 21) = 9. Money is reduce(4 + 21) = 7. Karmic is reduce(22 + 4) = reduce(26) = 8. Ancestral is reduce(22 + 16 + 6) = reduce(44) = 8. Communication is reduce(22 + 16) = reduce(38) = 11. Relationship Purpose is reduce(16 + 6 + 21) = reduce(43) = 7.
A romantic pair, two friends, a parent and adult child, and two colleagues with the same dates produce the same composite arithmetic. The relationship type changes the interpretive questions: attraction and repair for romance, reciprocity and distance for friendship, autonomy and care for family, or roles and accountability for work.
Changing the numerical formula to obtain a more suitable story would make the result impossible to reproduce. Destinyly keeps the calculation fixed and changes only the lens through which the shared pattern is discussed.
Record both personal A-E rows and the composite row. Recalculate one position at a time. Check that 22 was preserved, that the year was reduced from its digit sum, and that day and month were not reversed. Then verify every derived channel from the composite, not from the original personal values.
If only the Arcana names differ at 8 and 11, the arithmetic may still match; some systems reverse Justice and Strength. If the numbers differ, compare formulas. A transparent calculator should make the divergence identifiable.
The composite cannot calculate consent, honesty, emotional safety, attraction, shared values, conflict skill, or future duration. It also cannot justify a percentage probability that a relationship will succeed. Those outcomes depend on behavior, context, opportunity, and choices that are not present in two birth dates.
Use the chart to organize a conversation about one channel. Use direct evidence to make decisions. In unsafe or coercive situations, prioritize appropriate personal, legal, medical, or professional support rather than symbolic compatibility.
Should names or gender change the calculation? No. Destinyly uses birth dates for the numerical matrix. Names are display labels, and relationship type changes interpretation rather than arithmetic.
Can I calculate compatibility by averaging two center numbers? That produces a simpler comparison but not Destinyly's composite chart. A full composite preserves all five positions before deriving shared channels.
Why is there no compatibility percentage? The method produces symbolic positions, not a validated probability model. A percentage would imply precision that the inputs and formula do not support.
